What is the Chick-fil-A Foundation?

The Chick-fil-A Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Chick-fil-A, Inc. and was created in 2012 to honor principles set by our Founder Truett Cathy, who believed in having a positive influence in the communities Chick-fil-A serves. Starting in 2020 with a goal to nourish potential in every child, the Chick-fil-A Foundation will focus its giving on organizations working exclusively in the areas of hunger, homelessness and education.

What types of organizations do you support?

The Chick-fil-A Foundation’s mission is to nourish the potential in every child. Beginning in 2020 our giving will focus on a small number of organizations working to address hunger, homelessness and education. Do you accept grant requests?

To better address three critical needs facing children across the communities we serve, starting in 2020, the Foundation will focus giving on a smaller number of organizations and will no longer be able to accommodate grant requests from organizations.

What organizations has the Chick-fil-A Foundation given to in the past?

Since the beginning of the Chick-fil-A Foundation, more than $52 million has been donated to support education, entrepreneurship and leadership development programs. You can learn more about the Foundation’s 2018 and 2019 giving on the "Our partners" page.
